It was for passport reissue with address change.it was supposed to be post verification. The police kept insisting that I produce birth date verification. I had pan xerox but he did not accept that.he asked me to go out and get xerox of my school certificate.my father stayed there where I went out and during that my father paid 1000 INR.After I came back,he did not ask anything and said it will be done.funny thing is I already have a passport which identifies that I am citizen and he kept on telling me that he needs some good proof to justify that I am citizen. May be he is not at all educated about passport reissue documentation or may be he just wanted chance to get the bribe.
