AAP to get back to work in Goa from ground zero

Panaji, March 23 (IANS) After getting decimated in the February 4 state assembly elections, the AAP in Goa has now promised a comeback by building up the party again from ground zero.

A statement issued by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa unit on Thursday said the party, which failed to win a single seat in the coastal state, will "soon launch itself in mission mode to intervene, confront and plead on behalf of Goa's people with the government and the authorities on public services delivery, corruption in big-ticket projects and policies as well as smaller micro matters at the city, town and village level from ground zero".

AAP said that post-poll developments in the state and horse-trading of legislators for the purpose of government formation had proved that the nature of political discourse needed to be changed.

"The unholy and pre-poll ideology-defeating tie-ups entered into by the BJP-Goa Forward, MGP who had broken away from BJP and others who fought bitterly against each other, have vindicated the AAP's consistent campaign that Goa's career politicians are all hand-in-glove with the sole aim to capture power and loot the state," AAP said.
