I reside in Pune, Maharashtra and want to convert my old license into a smart card. What is the best possible option available?

You will have to apply for a duplicate license. You will need to fill in the appropriate form, which should be available at the inquiry counter. A fee payment is required (Rs. 15 in Karnataka). You will have to submit an application to the Asst RTO. Along with the application, form and cash payment receipt, you will have to surrender the old license copy to the Assistant RTO. Please find out the prescribed time within which the new license will be delivered by the Asst RTO officer.</p>
