What are the parameters against which driving license test conducted and then construed that the candidate is meeting the requirements? I checked the Rule 15 of Central Motor Vehicles Act 1989 and it

Reported on December 25, 2010 from Bangalore , Karnataka  ι Report #33907

Obviously this is a ridiculous situation, considering that India has one of the highest accident rates in the world, for which one of the reasons is the very lax driving tests we usually have. Our rules and regulations are perhaps the most outdated in the world. Particularly, using hand indicators during the day, has to be perhaps the stupidest rule on the book. I will bring this ridiculous state of affairs to the notice of the transport commissioner. Unfortunately, in the current state of affairs, the motor vehicles inspectors who conduct the test have a large discretion to pass or fail you and many of them accept bribes to pass those who are not qualified! Now with a simulator system in place, perhaps the subjectivity will be taken out of the testing. However, I must advise you that in case you do not pass the test the first time, you can go back for the test within a period of 10 days. Next time, be sure to keep an L board and not keep your foot on the clutch. As regards the light indicators, please continue to use them. Thats the most sensible thing to do.
