Bribe forced to pay to a police consable

One day I was driving back from office to home and the police team stopped me. They asked me if I had license I did. Then asked me insurance and emission certificate. I did not have it in the car as it was given to servicing. The PC kept my license and asked me to get the documents next day and collect the license. After reaching him i realized that the emission certificate was in a bad shape [due to water marks and torn] so got the EC check done in the nearby petrol station. Next day when i showed all the relevent documents, the PC said the EC is newly done and you have to pay for this. I asked the PC as below " Agreed that i did not have the EC last evening, however EC is ment for any pollution and as of last evening there is no emission form my Car [which is Euro-2 certified]. This means my vehicle was not polluting when you stopped me last noon. So its obvious that my vehicle is polltion free now why should i pay fine?" All that the PC said was "Dont tell me all this logic, either you give me something else i will book a complaint and i know what i should create..." Having left with no option, i had to pay to get my license back. This is the kind of police service we have :(
