Bribe paid for paying Road Tax for Maharashtra Registration Vehicle
I got my vehicle from Maharashtra and wanted to pay the road tax for Karnataka Govt here in Bangalore. I dod not want to transfer the registration since I was planning to be here only for 2 years. I went to the Jayanagar RTO and enquired. The clerk over there simply told me that if I needed to pay Road tax then I need to give him 1500/- and he would make the road tax receipt immediately plus it would be a Life time tax validity (LTT). Since I had to catch a flight to Delhi that evening I had no option than to handover him that money. Afterwards I came to know that all receipts are given instantly and all the tax we pay is LTT only. So this clerk simply took money from me just because I did not know kannada and the rules of *******
