Paid Rs. 1000 for Police and LIU verification

I paid a bribe to police person of Rs. 500 and to LIU person Rs. 500 for my Passport Verification as according to them it was mandatory to pay this amount atleast so that they can send my verification to Regional Passport Office.It's to much.When will all this stop.These govt. employees are getting salaries for their work then we people have to pay Bribe to them.
