I had to pay bribe to a police deewan. I submitted all docs like address proof, ID proof, one photo and ID proofs of my references. Then he filled up all details in form in police choky.
It was all done then he started filling up form of other applicant. I asked him- shall I leave?
He said: “yes it’s all done. But you look intelligent and you understand all situation. Your form is cleared from my side but it will go to police inspector then he will sign. Only after it will be processed. And you know they ask for something.”
I said: Yeah I understand.
He said: “I don’t take anything because money is nothing but what can I do for my seniors. They ask-deewan ji kitna liye ho passport me?”
I was very much disappointed with all this. Then I pulled a 500 rs note and handed over him.
He said: please make it 1. (one thousand).
I said my all documents are correct…and this is post verification….pls try to understand.
Then he said nothing. After a while he started again and gave multiple reasons that I should give him 500 more because his seniors will ask for more.
I was in a dilemma but I thought not to argue more with him and handed over one more 500 rs note.
Smile appeared on his face. I
