This incident happened on 23-June-2017, while I was travelling to Yelhanka from RT Nagar. Time was around 10:30 AM.The place of the incident was the bridge near the CBI Office- great irony- every weekend policemen gather there so mint some of their lavish weekly expenses.
Me and my father were travelling to Yelhanka- there were few traffic policemen near the bridge and catching the traffic violators. Please note in this case we didn't violate any rule-both of us were wearing helmets- going within the defined speed limit- in the correct lane. Everything was just in place.
However- on the policemen came in the middle of the road to stop us and directly started enquiring about the tax receipts, insurance etc. However I had all the documents in place and it happened that few days back we had renewed the Insurance and (mistake on pour part) that we didn't place them in the bike.
Have explained the same thing to the Officer he started bullying saying that we are supposed to carry while driving- which even I agree told him I leave my vehicle here and get that documents as well in another 20 mins for which the officer refused stating we cannot leave the vehicle here-it will be sent to the traffic police station along with a complaint. When asked for solution how do I go about this- they told me to pay rs.500 and go off or else collect the vehicle from the hebbal police station after 12:30 PM.
I told them- as we have embarked on an important meeting didn't want to get delayed asked for a quick solution they said pay Rs.100 and leave. Undertsanding the intentions and as any other typical Indian for me also time is more valuable than these arguments paid Rs.100 and drove off despite I could have stand strong and don't budge.
We didn't want to argue beyond this point
