Cops meddle with signs and then book you!

What is the point of formulating a rule when one is constantly busy trying to find a way around it?
Road signs are meant to give right directions to vehicles. Being fined for an offence is alright but tampering with them and then falsely booking a case against an individual is absolutely unacceptable. Our respondents aired their grievances about the dilemmas they have encountered when the police meddle with ‘No Parking’ signs to confuse them.
A Hyderabadi reveals that the chose to park at a particular place which happened to be a ‘No Parking’ zone. The absence of signage to indicate the same resulted in a number of vehicles getting parked there. The cops who were present at the site did not intimate anybody of the rule and instead allowed everyone to park. A user of our portal, tells us how roads that have a `No Parking’ sign suddenly transform into parking zones. When commuters park on certain roads, the cops suddenly bring out the ‘No parking’ sign and extract bribe amounts. He ended up paying Rs 200.
Many users complain of how the enforcers of law alter the law according to their whims and fancies. Road rules are meant to be a constant; instead toggling between Parking and No-Parking road signs has emerged as a new money making racket.
