Deepak Chavan, an artiste who’s been lending his voice to dozens of Ganesh pandals for 22 years, has noted a definite shift in themes. “Earlier, it was only about mythological stories and morality lessons like respecting your parents. Nowadays, they all want to make socially relevant statements on corruption, inflation.”
