A Firm Stand Against Bribery

“It was a fight between David and Goliath. At one side were few residents of a small apartment complex and on the other side was a huge corrupt system, powerful builders lobby, BBMP, etc. But as residents, we had one thing which drove us and it was our conviction to stand for truth and our country.”

 

A collective effort to fight corruption is what the country needs. A residential society in Bangalore set an example worth emulating by standing their ground against bribery. The residents chose to deal with the municipal authority directly to secure their property registration deed through legitimate means. Even though this required them to wait for two years with the municipal authority and builders posing as deterrents, their unfaltering spirit led them to their achievement.
