Say No to Agents for Re-registration

Posted on September 06, 2012

Shifting from one state to another is a tedious process by itself and procedural aspects complicate this further. Re-registration of other-states’ vehicles is one such procedure that cannot be escaped. The procedure is complex because this involves submission of numerous documents and some running around. However, there are some who choose to do this rather than paying ‘agents’. The money paid to them is also a form of bribe as this is used to speed up the process.

Agents’ payment is a transformed version of single window clearance, which is finding much space in government assurances. Otherwise, you need to ensure you have a list of documents ready that is to be submitted to RTO. With patience and unwillingness to pay agents, you are bound to get your vehicle re-registered and save some money.

Such an incidence was faced by an individual that shifted from Chennai to Bangalore. Being hell-bent not to pay the agents and RTO officers, he made sure to furnish all required documents to and get the work done.

In another similar situation, an individual had the pride of getting his re-registration document without having to pay a bribe. This is the case where someone feels proud of having done a work in an intended manner rather than feeling relaxed after having to pay a bribe to avoid complex procedures. Pride will last long and is more positive in outlook than the later. And it is such steps that an individual takes that characterizes the person.
