We Keep The Corruption Going

Posted on March 22, 2013

“I asked clearly “Are you asking for a bribe?” He said he does not know and said something in Kannada, with a wink. And then said "2000, you are getting 20000 worth from insurance, no.”

“We keep you going” is the tagline of a well-known general insurance company in India that promises to handle expenses in case your car is damaged in an accident. The question is, who is that catchy tagline directed to? Instead of catering to the person who has bought such an insurance, a certain insurance official from Bangalore is victimising the customer. In connivance with the investigating police officer who is in charge of acknowledging the extent of damage caused to the vehicle, the duo are reportedly harassing the victim for a bribe of Rs.2000. Not an ideal situation for a prominent private bank to be stuck in nor an ideal image to project!
