Defamation Laws - need of the hour?

At the 104th AGM of Tata Steel, Ratan Tata was questioned by the shareholders on the involvement of the Tata?s in the 2G Spectrum scam. Quoting the matter to be sub-judice and therefore running the risk of being contempt of court, Tata speaks publicly of his silence and highlights the lack of defamation laws in the country. ?
