The Civil society movement in India has been very strong and visible in the recent years, with large number of people coming out in the open and engaging with the Government at various levels. Reinforcing the need for citizen participation and civil society action, eminent lawyer Prashanth Bhushan talks about the need to amend the constitutional provisions and the ways in which citizen engagement in policy making can be increased.
