“While the government version attempts to make the Lokpal manageable and effective by limiting its jurisdiction to central governments and ministries, civil society wants to mandate the office to treat a significant portion of service transactions. This approach suffers from several shortcomings.” The need is for better and dynamic information and technology is a strong weapon to fight corruption.
