The Lokpal- NCPRI approach: the right to differ

An informative article from Aruna Roy that examines the origins of the Lokpal Bill as the outcome of a large middle class mobilization on corruption and goes on to say that the time for platitudes is over. She suggests alternative measures to create a more workable, realistic approach to the issue that include grievance addressal mechanisms for the common man as well as a strong, independent institution to scrutinize corruption of public servants and issues amongst others.
