Pleasant surprise
I had dreaded the inevitable police verification when there was a need for address change in my passport re-issue application. The problem is always the ugliness that may result when "something" is demanded overtly or covertly and I have to fight it or reluctantly go with it.
However I was pleasantly surprised when the young police officer from Basavangudi Police Station, accompanied me to our apartment complex, checked with our neighbours and at no time made any reference to required "payment". I reasoned that maybe now his verification approval will be delayed or not sent at all and I have to revisit the station. BUT there too I was proved wrong.
In the time promised the passport was duly delivered!
May his tribe increase!
