Thiruvananthapuram, July 18 (IANS) A high-level coordination committee of the Congress party Wednesday asked the Oommen Chandy government in Kerala to amend existing laws and bring in suitable fresh laws to protect the agricultural lands fast vanishing to construction mafia in the state" A news that I have read some 10 days back. rather than discouraging it has encouraged the land mafia to do his filling faster. thats what I have seen in past few days. I pass by this paddy land before pallishery jn. as I walk towards the Arattupuzha temple almost daily. Its touching the main road and seeing the guts of such land mafia & also the relevant goverment authories as how can such things get unnoticed I doubt. Sad to see. Dont know how to stop it. and yes dont have the guts to complain it to the relevant authorities (who could may be involved) as my parents told not too.
