I had applied for a new passport and after about 20 days, I got a call from Mangalam police station for verification of my identity .
I went to the police station at 10AM, with all my identification documents and met Police Constable who was the incharge for verification. After looking at my documents he asked me to pay him Rs 300. I asked him why was he asking me for money. He told me that it's a fee.
I told him that I didn't have Rs 300 to pay him. He asked me to come on the next day with fees. After paying Rs.300 he signed my documents and sent.
