I had recently bought a house in Patiala, my hometown. It was really frustrating to know that i had to bribe to Patwari who sits in ********** Secretatiat, Patiala and the fact that this is a norm
I was really shocked to know that it is a norm and who does not pay 1% of the total registry value will not be able to process his application. Patwari himself never asks for this but middlemen sitting outside in Shop No 1 take bribe on his behalf which is in turn distributed among all.
This is an open secret outside ********** secretariat and almost everyone in and outside that premises will tell/vouch that we need to pay bribe.
I have gone through this harrowing experience as i live in Pune and bought a house in Patiala and had limited time at my end and nevertheless i never wanted any frivolous issue to hapmer registration of my house.
