Bribe in Chennai Customs Imports Department
Dear All,
In chennai customs imports section, for registering as a console agent and Steamer agents licence. We need to pay the fixed amount of bribe to the lower grade clerk to Commissioner.
Console registration - Rs.10000
Steamer Agent Registration - Rs.35000
If you enter with the documents, first they will try to refuse and ask unwanted questions which is not related to these documents. After that they directly ask you to pay bribe by cash along with the documents. If you go the this department from despatch department to higher officer every one will work for money only. If you do not pay they will through you papers in dust bin.
Customs commissioner or Anti Corruption department should take serious steps to wipe off these black sheep's.
Everyone know paying bribe is wrong and unlawful but it is practice to pay for doing their duty.
