Bribe for Income tax Return

I am not living in india anymore and for my 2006 tax return money of 18000 INR, tax officer in ludhiana has asked for a bribe of 6000 INR. My father resisted to pay bribe and threaten to take legal action for this. It was after 1 year and 2 boune checks i got my money finally without paying any bribe but it has taken almost 2 years to get this sorted out with lot of harrasment and incovenince
