I dont want to pay Bribe to police for doing their own, duties.

Hi All,

I am applying for name change on my passport post my marriage, and i have learned that police verification is not done unless we pay them good amount as bribe. I believe Its duty of police to carry out the verification for which state government already pays their salary which is good enough. Kindly suggest me some ideas by which i can get my verification done with out paying the bribe.
