I prevented an official person from evading away with cash

Reported on March 18, 2015 from Bangalore , Karnataka  ι Report #54622

Hi friends,

This incident occured @rajajinagar PO. I had my speed post work done at the PO. But beside me, a girl (maybe in 7th or 8th std) had to deposit money of 550. But she had given 700 cash (may be she was ignorant to check the bill and pay the required amt) to the female officer. Instead of returning the extra cash to the girl, the officer kept it for herself. I witnessed the whole incident, and i was amused at the elder officer for being so greedy! and also how dumb of the girl for not asking the balance!!

then i took the girl outside the PO for a pep talk. I took a scratch paper and wrote the calculations and told her adamantly to take this paper and show it to the officer and ask to give back the balance. she politely obeyed my order, and was my solution worked. HURRAH!!

I was happy not to ignore the situation and being adamant to see the girl get the cash back
Then i felt, there has to be a elder accompanying children while dealing with MOs, and properly guiding them abt the transactions..

What's your reaction?
