No bribe for Vechile Ownership transfer in RTO
Hi,
I was pleasantly surprised with this incident. Generally, RTO was the last place where I thought I don't have to pay bribe. With this "expectation" I went to KR Puram RTO in Bangalore to get the ownership of my car transferred from my companies name to mine. I went straight to the officer without an agent. To my surprise, he guided me very well on the documents required and the forms I need to fill. He even told me clearly that I need to get the CC from the Indiranagar RTO as the original registration was done there. I followed the instructions, paid the regular nominal fees (in the RTO office for which I got proper receipt) and I reccieved the new RC Smart Card posted to my house in 3 weeks!
