I&#39;m sorry for you. There was no reason for you to pay a bribe. Most often, because we do not do our homework, we get cheated into paying bribes. Most builders, and corporation officials have created a well oiled system of getting Khatas done and because we don&#39;t check up, we get cheated into paying bribes. Hello Sir, Purchased a plot and got B-Khata done from a person(3rd party, referred from builder) who said will get all done for a fixed amount. Negotiated with him and got the B-Khata done. He explained in registration department for each signature need to give bribe otherwise engineer and others will not sign on the paper. Actually wanted to get Khata done because needed to pay tax for plot which was pending from 2 years. It was complete area divided into plots and owner had to give original documents to everyone who purchased plot, which was tedious may be. So he referred to one person who was working for him. This person may be having contact with all persons in registration department and getting work done bribing them. How this system works?
