I am planning to buy a car from a person living in Mumbai (Used car) and bring the car to Assam for my personal use here. I want to know the following things -
1. What tax will I be Liable to pay to Maharashtra Govt and Assam Govt ?

2. Will the previous owner of the car will get any tax refunds previously paid for the car ?

3. What documents will I require for buying the car ? As in I want to know the entire documentation details with both Assam and Maharashtra govts as it will be an inter state vehicle transfer.
