An unexpected experience
Today I had been to your Mayiladuthrai DRO for adjudication of a PA.
There I met your staff Thamizhiniyan who advised me to submit a formal application on ten-rupee stamped paper. He verified all the relevant papers, collected the govt. notified fee of Rs 100- and handed over the Power of Attorney by 3.30 pm. He was courteous and helpful.
At a time when bribing the govt official is the norm to get a legitimate job done the attitude of Thamizhiniyan and the expeditious manner in which he cleared the paper proved that these things can be done without paying a single rupee as bribe.
I wish we had such people in govt offices all across the state.
