I got married in my hometown in 2004 and applied for the marriage certificate in 2006. We approached the document writer who is a friend of our family. She said she will need Rs.1000 as bribe as that has to be shared among all in the office to get the certificate. And I got the marriage certificates pretty quickly after the bribing
