This bribe i was asked by Sub-Registrar Ponnampet a lady officer last year when i approached with proper documents to transfer one RTC 83/4 of Mathur village from my previous owner to my mother's name who is a senior citizen. My work was delayed till i was made to the pay amount.
This is not the only incident at Sub-registrar Ponnampet, When we approach for pledging our property for Bank we will asked to pay 1000 or 2000 depending on the loan amount. Worst is even for removing the loan details from RTC once Loan is closed we will forced to make the bribe. Its a harassment for aged people and widows visiting Sub-Registrar office any work.
