I went to HAL Police Station for police verification of my passport and my spouse. I also had to get a new passport issued for my daughter as she is a minor.
On reaching the passport verification counter, we were asked to be seated, when I noticed that another couple were paying a bribe of Rs 200 to the officer.
When our turn came, he said we did not have sufficient documents and asked us to return with the verification documents before 4 pm. At about 3:30 he made three calls
to our cell phone asking whether we had the required documents ready. He also asked for a bribe when we went to present the documents. We had to pay Rs 300 to the officer
to get the police verification done.
