Hi,
We had not paid the property tax for our property for last 15 years. Mainly because the property is under litigation. But, my advocate adviced me to first pay the tax irrespective of the outcome of Litigation. So, I went to BBMP Ward office. I was really shocked to hear from the tax collector that I need to pay him Rs 2500 as it involes lot of work for him to brind the tax details on to computer!!! I was just unable to know how much is the pending tax etc.. Finally, i had not other choice but to pay Rs2500 + Rs.100 for his assistant. Very unfortunate that when we go to pay tax, even then we have to pay another tax.
