Firstly the way fitness certificates are obtained for driving license (DL) at RTO is totally sham. The doctors are only interested in money and ticking off all items on the certificate. Why only govt doctors are allowed to certify - because they are poor? non-corrupt? I walked into KRPuram govt hospital. A fat person who sat in pharma shop immediately called me. He asked purpose and promptly started working on it w/o quoting money. I thought he was a doctor. He sent papers inside and got the stamps. Then said pay Rs 100. I would not have paid if he told me upfront he would do the work for that sum of money. After the work was done, I feel obliged to pay w/o complaining. Felt totally sick about this system of agents who are surviving in this big city by indulging as middle men. RTO is equally shit where agents out-number the employees. The person supposed to be at entry help desk was missing at RTO Bhattarhalli - leaving freshers to mercy of agents.
