My tax bill was due for several years because we had lodged one complaint years earlier against excessive tax for an empty land. We then did not get the bill for several years. When we wanted the bill, we were told it would take at least three months. But then when we asked we need the bill in three days, they asked for six hundred. The tax was 960 rupees, and to collect the bill we had to pay six hundred.
This happened in the Kolkata Corporation gariahat branch ten years ago.
By the way, if you insist in disclosing details of the complainant, you will not have much success. I cannot trust you, but my story is true.
