We had all the documents right and all titles perfect, inspite of that we'd to pay Rs. 40000 else the officials wouldnt cooperate and just probe for faults and ask for additional documentation and delay the entire process. I believe the bribes go up if there are any minor deviations in constructions/land records. In my case, everything was as per the rules, but they said this is the minimum and asked to consider this as a token for purchasing a house. I feel like shooting these people in that office. Alas...what a shame! I feel disgusted.
