My passport police verification was returned mentioning Unverified just because I did not pay them the bribe. Then again I had to Reinitiate the verification and this time I gave them 2000INR as a bribe and then my Police Verification was sent with the positive feedback. I had to visit police stations many times just to get my police verification done. It was really a sick experience.
