I have paid bribe 2 times for house & land registration though I never wanted to.

I have bought one land and then a flat and both the times when I went for registration through a broker we had to pay bribe. for land registration it was 5000 and flat registration it was 6000. While land registration the lady who was registering took bribe in front of me but that happened a year ago but last time when I registration happened for flat then i had to pay the bribe to broker and he in-turn had to pay it to officials. Now they do not want to take bribe directly and they have agents in between like brokers whom they can trust. I think india will never develop by have this sort of people in our country. I work in IT company and it is impossible to take day out some times and so we cannot reach every department follow the procedures laid by government for simple registration. These officials know it and they take advantage of our situation. I have paid bribe in other deparments too and will write in different column about it
