It was 08.02.14. around 2.45 pm. i had gone along with my mates to stay the night at a room in Top Slip. there is a forest office in the outskirts of Pollachi where the room has to be booked before reaching the hill station. they told me that the charges for booking a room in 'Ambuli illam'"was 5750 Rs for one night for seven people. but the officer took 6000 Rs and did not give me the change back.. he also asked for an extra 150 Rs. when billing me and writing the final amount he did not use the carbon paper . I was surprised . on enquiring i learnt that it was common practice as they could write an amount less than what i had been charged after i had left. i am ashamed of myself
