We are senior citizens. We had problem with the municipal water supply line installed about 30 years ago. The hand pump generated only about 200 mltr for every push. Repeated requests to the concerned junior engineer did not yield any result. Finally, we paid Rs. 1,000 to the municipal assistant engineer to permit road cutting, and another Rs. 5000 to the employees of the water supply board to remove the old line and provide a new line.
Now the water supply is very good. But we feel very upset over the payment of bribe, which I believe will go to every one in the department.
