Loosing your car is also an offense to your mind and pocket???

Reported on July 20, 2011 from Noida , Uttar Pradesh  ι Report #6382

Hi,

I came to know about "I paid bribe", so sharing my story here.It was around 1st week of March, when my Brother-in-law lost his 3 yr old alto car from my apartments in sec-50 Noida. We instantly went to the police station in sec 49. They asked us to write down the complaint. We got a complaint number and then the officer provided us a unique complaint number. The police assured that they will help us getting us the "insurance amount" at least if not car. We returned home a bit assured by the way police cooperated that day. After 2 days, i got a call from dept that an investigating officer has been assigned for this task.I am not reporting any name here as per the request here and his name was told to me. I was now expecting the call from that investigation officer. The same week, i get call from the officer, scolding me that why am not taking interest in getting things done or cooperating with police. I politely requested him that i will be present whenever he suggests for the investigation at the main site of stealing. So i cooperated him, but he simply modified all the facts and asked me that there is no proof of getting my car stolen and he can infact cancel the initial complaint with the status that there are lack of evidence of any sort of car stealing. This put me and my brother in law into a sort of shock by seeing the gundaraj of Police itself. So i discussed with some more friends, who all concluded from this incident that the cop wants money. So after few days, i called him up. He picked it up and asked me that he can assist and provide us No-traceable Certificate only if he is paid bribe of Rs 6000 for it. We had no other option left, after loosing a big investment. So we did it. 2 days later i joined campaign of ********** hazare at jantar-mantar to console myself :-)

What's your reaction?
