In Chennai, Perungudi is in IT corridor and resdiential complexes were developed a lot recently.
My Apartment has 120 Flats and each house owners had to pay Rs 5000/- (including me) as a bribe for paying the Property tax first time.
Our association tried escalating to officials and even to politicians, but only our energy was waster for nearly a year. Finally we negotiated to reduce bribe amount from 4000 to Rs 5000/Flat based and paid the tax.
