Overspeeding and not having Insurance documents

I was overspeeding on the road to indiranagar from koramangala. The police caught me for overspeeding, also I didn't have insurance. The entire amount of fine was coming to 800. I did have my insurance, just that I didn;t carry it. The cop asked me to give 300 n go. Didn't gimme a bill for the fine I had paid. I actually forgot to ask for the bill. But, later I checked the online portal. There was no mention of my ticket. The cops I'm refering to are the ones who was on duty at around 3'O clock on the road from koramangala to indiranagar on outer ring road. Do take note of it if u can do anything.
