One of our family members had to pay Rs 2500 to get our marriage registered. One of the officers came to our wedding upon our written request few days prior to the wedding and took signatures from me and my wife and witnesses on the day of wedding. He asked for Rs 2500 which includes the registration fee (I dont even know the actual fee).
