Just came to check the process to register my marriage, to my surprise and pleasantness the Clerk was very helpful with all the details... also as we were carrying all the documents with us.. thought to give it a try and apply for marriage registration same day... people there though discouraged us it may take more than a day... we filled up the form, submitted paid 2000 bucks upfront as demanded by the Clerk who collects documents for Marriage registration and alas all peons and officials were more than willing to get my registration done within no time and out of turn... there were others who were waiting on benches... ours registration done and we romped home... anyhow that clerk/sub-registrar charges 800-1000 rs from everyone.. together with that you get the pain of delay... i paid double to that slave and my time was saved.
