- Paid INR 1,000
Paid Rs. 1000 to the police officer verifying my address for a passport renewal. Apparently that is 'going rate' in north india. didnt have to pay back home in south india. To top it, had to further give 'baksheesh' (Rs. 50) to postman who delivered it :(
