At the 'arrival' on Ahmedabad airport !

Reported on March 2, 2011 from Ahmedabad , Gujarat  ι Report #32522

I arrived to Ahmedabad, by an International flight and after getting my bags at the terminal, I was at the last stage and sent my bags in the scanner. After that was over, a sipahi (a post in Indian customs equivalent to 'havaldaar' in police), whispered in my ear - "Je apvu hoi e api do" (Hindi :'jo dena hai de do', English: 'Give whatever you want to')
I spoke loudly 'What did you say?' (in Gujarati), he got afraid of his superiors or something, he said 'No Nothing, move ahead' ! I had not got anything on which I would have to pay customs duty or any other tax, so I was not afraid of anything. I just walked away !
