Duty on Bullion
I was entering the country @Bangalore airport with some bullion. I was heading towards red channel.
This guy comes and says what do you have, I said bullion. He told me you don't have to go thru' red channel just come with me in a corner.
He demanded 20,000 INR in USD to settle passage thru' green channel. I demanded receipt for that then he commented "What a fool, wasted my time" and offered to lower the price.
I refused & turned up @red channel there also ppl were surprised that I was paying 45,000 INR in USDs instead of getting it easy thru' "settlement"
I paid entire duty and am still feel happy about it 2 years ON :-)
