Got my out of state license renewed in Bangalore without bribe

I had a license issued from Delhi which has expired and I wanted to renew the same in Bangalore. All the people I spoke to advised me to pay bribe to the agent and get it done. I decided otherwise. The only pain I took was to get a NOC from the Delhi RTO office else the Bangalore RTO would send a NOC request to Delhi and that may never return back.
Armed with this the rest was a cakewalk. I went to the RTO office in BTM 4th Stage. One person at the reception was most helpful. He wrote all the requirements on a paper and asked me to get them. All applications forms and stationary were available in the nearby shop (or you could get them yourself - download them online). I filled up everything and submitted my application. All in a few hours.
